It’s hard to believe we are already into the third month of 2020, with lots of amazing events already delivered for our roster of wonderful clients.
We wanted to share the details of an incredible event we had the pleasure of delivering in February, Kirklees Council’s inaugural Inclusion and Diversity Awards. The evening reception and dinner, which took place at John Smith’s Stadium in Huddersfield, centred around recognising and celebrating organisations and team that are passionate about inclusion and diversity, and are committed and creative in their efforts.
Brand new events can be full of unknowns, which is why we are always grateful to be involved from the early planning stages right through to delivery day. We were able to work closely with the Kirklees Council planning team throughout, to fully understand their needs, scope out their requirements and help budget accordingly for the event, lending our wealth of experience and ideas to the project.
Whilst we love everything about the events world, those events which champion good causes and make local communities better places to live and work are by far our favourite. And so, like we have done before for a selection of other very special events, we decided to jump on board as an Event Sponsor for the Inclusion and Diversity Awards, giving us the opportunity to further support and enhance the awards and make it truly a night to remember.
For the evening itself, our team built a bespoke stage set which provided the perfect backdrop for the inspirational speakers and worthy award winners, as well as installing a complete audio system and multiple screens which ensured no detail was missed from the stories shared. We decided on a simple lighting system to bring atmosphere to the stage, with a series of stage lighting fixtures and moving head lighting.
An additional detail which many of our clients love and which makes the event even more immersive are our freestanding LED acrylic lighting fixtures. These eye-catching centrepieces were added to each table and set to change colour throughout the evening and even flash enthusiastically when each award was announced.
We’d like to extend our congratulations to the incredible winners of the Kirklees Inclusion and Diversity Awards and the incredible work that is happening across the district – we can’t wait for next year’s ceremony
